The forecast for the next 10 days is sun and more sun. Again the trail moves west through some smaller villages and the market town of Canals at 8k distance is a great breakfast stop! Once again I am up early and away at 6 so the first 20k are traversed by 11pm. It’s about this time this heat and humidity start to bite. The trail is running parallel to the village of Montesa and the huge castle perched precariously above the town. After a walk through more citrus the town of Vallada at 21k provides a good refreshment stop before the final walk into Moixent. And now it’s vineyards and apple orchards for a change of scenery. Moixent is a decent sized pueblo with a population of about 4500 and sits at the side of the Sierra Grossa in The Valley of the river Canyoles. It has a mediveil castle here for the enthusiasts.
