Camino Levante 2018

Day 27 Toro 32k

An early trail of rolling hills and unusually against a strong headwind. No stops today so it was a 5.45 start and at halfway I find the Rio Duero and follow this for almost the entire journey to Toro. It’s perched on a hill but the last climb up is well worth it because this large town has got class written all over it. A huge cathedral a moorish palace beautiful old manor houses and it oozes atmosphere. Toro is famous for its wines and of the few I tasted I can see why. No albergues here so I enjoy a bit of comfort in a hostal. Feeling fine on the Camino!
